Day 2 - Rototui

sunny 20 °C

Well after a late start, we got over to Rototui to look at the boiling sulfur springs. Andre and Kate were pretty disgusted by the smell of the mud, but the rest of the guys were ok with it. The sulfur mud is collected by the school students of the town and they use it to make sculptures of famous Maori warriors, as well as western explorers of the South Pacific.

Arrival & Jetlag

semi-overcast 17 °C

Well finally we made it! After 46 hours traveling from Hartford, we have arrived in the beautiful city of Auckland, New Zealand. The kids are tired and resting for the afternoon before we go out with our Kiwi partners for dinner for the evening. I am sure it will be an early night!
